Since the weather is very comfortable these days, I often go on a picnic with my daughter. I would like to introduce you to a good picnic place.
It’s Umekoji park.
This park is so popular among families with kids.
Why is Umekoji park so popular with families who have kids?
1)Accessible and a spacious park
Umekoji park is a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station and 2 minutes by train, so it is a very convenient place to go.
This park is so spacious (13.7ha) and has a wide variety of playground equipment.
2)Enjoy nature within a big city
We could see beautiful double-flowered cherry trees on April 11th.

3)Not only the park but also...
In the park, you can get on the oldest trolley in Kyoto city.
This trolley was used around 120 years ago.
Fare :150 yen per person
Children under elementary school age can enter for free.
Next to Umekoji park, there is the Kyoto aquarium and the Kyoto train museum. You can go to these places very easily, perhaps before or after your picnic.

On April 11th, I enjoyed having a picnic with my friends.
In the park, I often go on a picnic in the lawn park.

If you don't have any leisure goods, you can get them at a 100 yen shop.
Near Kyoto station, there are some 100 yen shops. I often go to DAISO in Kyoto AEON MALL.
